Restaurant Highchair Safety

Posted by

At a regular lunch spot of mine, I have recently come across two instances of the mis-use of highchairs for kids. The small kids were not strapped in and were able to stand up and move around within the chair. This greatly increases the odds of the chair tipping over or the child falling out hurting themselves in the process. Take a few extra seconds to strap your child in. If the the strap or lock is broken, ask for one that has a functional lock. I have noticed that many highchair straps are broken, and a lot of the highchairs in use are very worn. Taking a few extra moments to insure safety can eliminate a potential hazard or injury.
