| The part that I need to screw into does not sit flush with the door. There is a foam weather seal between the door and the molding. The only way to make it work is to use a super long screw and drill into the weather seal to attach the pin. Too bad, it looks like a nice device. |

| We bought the Child Proof Deluxe Door Top Locks in order to keep a cat from being able to enter certain rooms in the house. It has worked "wonderfully" to stop her from opening doors that she was able to somehow open before we installed the locks. We're very happy with the product and the package arrived fairly quickly. | I finally found it! we have inherited our 2 small grandsons and that required a revamp of our home. Everytime they played in their room - everything came out of the closet; toys, clothes, etc. I was sick of cleaning the mess. The closed has 2 regular doors that open in the center - we bought 2 locks - problem solved! the only way this would be any better is if they made a "set" with a left and right lock. But these work like a charm. Thanks! |

| It was the perfect thing for keeping the kids out until my daughter forgot about it and push the door a little harder( she just thought the door was stuck, she didn't have to push very hard) and the lock broke into 2 pieces. | This is the best child safety door lock I have ever seen. It installed in literally 1 minute, and us easy to use once it is up, yet keeps the kids out perfectly. The price of the unit is more than reasonable for what you get. If anything could be better I wish it came with different length sticks for opening the doors. | Easy to install and is working out well so far. The only slight drawback is that we cannot completely close our door and slide the top lock at the same time. We have to close it half way, then slide the lock before we can close the door all the way. It may just be the type of doors that we have. |

| This lock has been a Godsend. The extension wand was too short for great grandma so had to attach dowel rods with tape--they aren't pretty but they work! Just remember locks are in place otherwise they break if rushing through the door. Best deterrent for bedroom/bathroom doors that I've found. Can be used by those with arthritis! |

| Once in place, the lock has worked without fail. Our child has pulled and tugged on the door and the lock has not budged. The lock was fitted on a pantry door and the screw was mounted on the inside of the doorway. Because it is not a walk-in pantry, mounting the screw was a bit tricky. On the second try (yes I measured twice!) it fit in to place just fine. |

| The easiest childproof product that I had to install and also the one that works the best. It took about a half an hour to install 3 of them and most of that time was spent measuring. My 15 month old son spent about 3 days trying to open the doors after finding out he couldn't he just gave up. | Very easy install... quick with drill. My childs room as a walk through restroom with an entry door to our infant's room. We put a top door lock on the restroom door and our 3 year old's bedroom door so that she can still go potty but cannot enter infant's room or leave her bedroom! Works great! She got mad at it the first day and yanked very hard. It held strong! Simply don't forget that it is locked if you are an adult... it will break with adult force. Great product! |

| Easy to instal with even a screwdriver (directions say to use a drill) They slide well on our doors and now keep all children out. I have already forgotten they were there and broke one. Adults tend to open a door with more force then a child so be careful. I'll be ordering more. |

| I don't really feel qualified to rate it since we don't use it but I wanted to let future customers know our issue with it. I wanted this to work but alas, it did not fit on the door. Make sure to measure your door. I assumed that my door was a standard interior door but I guess not. It seemed the perfect lock for our rather tall and inquisitive 3 year old to keep him from opening the balcony door and throwing things over the railing. |

We needed a way to keep our precocious 22 month old out of certain rooms and we could not use doorknob covers because we have non-standard oval knobs. These do a great job and our son now knows which doors are "locked" to him. Great for teaching boundaries as another reviewer stated. You will need to drill 1 hole in the top jamb of your door. My husband broke one the first day because he didn't realize they were on there and thought my daughter had fallen asleep in front of the door. | Excellent! Just what I was looking for to keep my grandson safe. I put one on the door to the basement steps and one on a set of French doors (just put one on where the two doors come together). | I love this slide lock for the shorter, standard height doors. However, in our kitchen and den the doors are very tall and the wand is too short for me to reach it. It fits the door great, but there should be an option to get a longer wand. It was easy to install. |
