We bought this for my toddler who is learning to use the stairs on his own. He was already great at holding a hand and going up and down but we were hoping to get him a bit more independence so we bought the Care Rails. These work exactly as you'd expect. It gives him something to hold on to that is closer to his height. He very quickly worked out how it works and it seems very sturdy.
